re: Does my AED have items that have to be replaced?
yes an AED has an expected life of 10-15 years depending on if it can be reprogrammed to current standards. The battery and pads have an expected life. They usually last between two to five years. If the unit is never used the the batteries and pads would be replaced on their expiration date. If the unit is used then it is recommended that the pads and batteries be replaced each time.
