AED's are regualted by the FDA so yes a prescription is required.  Most manufactured and sellers of AED's have a doctor that is willing to provide the prescription if assured that the state laws concerning the AED are followed.

If you were to buy an AED from us  Carepoint Resources then you would be provided a prescription along with the AED and we would notify the local responding agencies that an AED has been placed according to the requirements of the law.
